Benares

Since it first opened in 2003, Benares Restaurant and Bar has earned a reputation as one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Visitors enter a classy lounge with hand-crafted furniture with Indian influences, which is matched by a lovely pond accented with fresh flowers, creating an opulent look. Use the services of Berkeley Square’s fine-dining Benares if you reside in Mayfair but for whatever reason don’t have your own personal curry chef. The overpriced curry restaurant is now delivering its delicious food, and for every meal you order, it will donate one to a frontline NHS employee.

Benares features four private dining rooms, three of which are located around the lounge: the Berkeley Room, which can accommodate up to 16 people; the Sommeliers Table, which can accommodate up to 10 people; and the Chefs Table, which can accommodate up to 8 people and looks out over the kitchen. The main dining room, which has seating for up to 80 people, is connected to the lounge area. On the other side of the main dining room is the Dover room, which has the largest private dining space and can accommodate up to 36 people.

This chic restaurant and first-floor cocktail lounge combine traditional Indian elements with contemporary decor. Expect to see plenty of gleaming black granite, flowers, odd antiquities, and water tanks in the style of the Mughals. The location draws high rollers, including businessmen on expense accounts, infatuated couples, and curious tourists. The kitchen produces contemporary cuisine on a high level.

The Cinnamon Club

The Cinnamon Club, the first modern Indian restaurant in London, has a long tradition of delivering inventive and unique Indian food in a gloriously regal environment. It is a well-known hangout for power brokers in crisp suits and Westminster politicians who enjoy a fine-dining menu of regal and modernized rustic pan-Indian meals. Dastaan

This neighborhood Indian restaurant, which was formerly Epsom’s best-kept secret, is now firmly established on the map as a result of the numerous prizes and commendations bestowed upon it since it first opened its doors in 2016. Dastaan has all the markings of a top London restaurant without the high price tags to match. It was founded by two chefs who formerly worked together at one of the capital’s most talked-about Michelin star Indian restaurants.

Former head chef at the aforementioned Gymkhana Sanjay Gour makes up one half of the chef-patron duo. Gour, a skilled pastry chef of Modern Europe and a modern Indian cook, is renowned for his gorgeous desserts that are influenced by Indian sweets and his own country’s intoxicating spices. Some of the restaurant’s most well-known dishes, including as the muntjac biryani, keema pao, and roe deer chops, are credited to his counterpart, Nand Kishor, a former head chef of Gymkhana.

This powerful culinary team contributes their substantial skills to Dastaan’s menu, which, in contrast to many other Indian eateries, is extensive yet condensed. As you take in the variety of curries on offer, start off with a few chaat (snacks) like panipuri, samosas, tikkas, and kebabs to whet your appetite. Carnivores will be delighted by options like butter chicken masala, duck chettinard, and hog vindaloo, while vegetarians will savor the variety of meat-free meals like paneer makhani, aubergine masala, and asparagus, pea, and Jerusalem artichoke biryani.

If you’re still hungry after filling up on chaat, a hearty main dish, and the required carb overload of fluffy rice and buttery naan bread, there are a few desserts to choose from, including silky kulfi and syrup-drenched gulab jamun. There are several wines, alcoholic beverages, and soft drinks available, including real lassis. Direct ordering is available on Dastaan’s website.

Dhaba@49

Dhaba@49 brings the roadside cafĂ© culture of North India to a busy intersection in Maida Vale and offers everything you’d expect from a neighborhood eatery: helpful service, reasonable rates, and mouthwatering food. Geometric tiles, antique Indian prints, tiffin dinnerware, and other interior design elements have a Dishoom-inspired vibe, yet delightful extras like velvet blue couches and a disco playlist keep the atmosphere casual. Dhaba@49 can provide services as one of the Best Indian Restaurants In London Doing Deliveries.

Chaat, the crunchy, sour, and spicy food often found in dhabas or roadside eateries, is a specialty of Dhaba@49. The samosa chaat included plump, crisp slices tucked into a stew of earthy, cumin-flavored chickpeas, sprinkled with vibrant green mint dressing, gooey tamarind, and stark white yoghurt. Pomegranate seeds and purple micro-herbs added a last rainbow flourish that elevated the flavor and added a touch of elegance to this classic Punjabi snack.

Either that more-is-more, carnivalesque attitude to flavor and color was used in the dishes, or they were fearlessly simple. A notable example of this is the methi makai masala, a silky, bright green spinach stew with luscious corn kernels that appeared uncomplicated but actually had a delicate undertone of fresh fenugreek. The white fish in their Goan seafood moilee succumbed to the golden turmeric, mustard seed, and coconut sauce at the touch of the fork, in contrast to the way fish curries are frequently overcooked.

In fact, almost every dish in Dhaba@49 was excellent: the buttery layered lachha paratha, the fluffy pilau rice, even the deep-fried spinach leaves, which were done to exacting standards. Although it may be based on roadside food, this eatery is definitely worth the trip. Deliveries and takeout continue to be made.

Gunpowder Spitalfields

The days of drinking lager and eating poppadums at Indian restaurants with a fish tank, velvet-lined chairs, and just one After Eight for dessert are long gone in London. However, the Brick Lane neighborhood, which is dominated by curry mile’s imitation canteens, is still difficult to navigate. Nirmal Save, a former chef at Mayfair’s Tamarind, is in charge of the kitchen at this little family-run establishment, which hopes to break Indian cuisine’s odd hold on the neighborhood by introducing high-quality small-plate dining.

In favor of strong flavors and a menu of about 20 dishes from all over India, Gunpowder forgoes bloating breads and creamy sauces. Examples include rasam ke bomb, Gunpowder’s take on the dosa, which resembles tiny Yorkshire puddings and comes with a shot glass of a spicy sauce, or a spicy venison and vermicelli doughnut, both of which are novel and exciting. The vegetables are the stars of the show, especially the surprise and delightful sizzle-grilled mustard broccoli.

The Gunpower’s owner-manager, Harneet Baweja, is a powerhouse who gives each dish a backstory. For example, the mouthwatering Maa’s Kashmiri lamp chops are made with a recipe from his mother-in-law, and the molten spice chocolate cake with masala chai custard (don’t skip it!) was inspired by a Mumbai vendor of chocolate chai. There is a takeout menu option at this restaurant.

Gymkhana

This is one of the Best Indian Restaurants In London Doing Deliveries. Gymkhana, which had been shut down for more than six months due to a fire, has reopened with its Michelin-starred Indian food. The restaurant has undergone a complete renovation, but the atmosphere is mostly the same: posh and inspired by the gentlemen’s clubs that were common in British-colonial India. This unique restaurant, which is situated in the heart of Mayfair but was inspired by the clubs of Colonial India, has two floors. Head downstairs via a mirrored staircase for dinner in the cozy basement with its vibrant chilli-red color scheme, wood paneling, hunting trophies, and even Grandmother Sethi’s old barometer!

For the first time ever, the Michelin-starred Gymkhana is offering delivery of its tandoori masala lamb chops, butter chicken masala, and wild muntjac biryani. Additionally, there is a special feast menu for two. There are many options on menus with Northern Indian influences, and everything from the exquisitely spiced kebabs and tikkas to the feather-light biryani with its flaky golden pastry dome offers a delightful combination of flavors and textures with a refined edge. Keep in mind that the side dishes are a highlight. Knowledgeable, competent, and attentive service is provided.

Hankies Marble Arch

A chef spins and flips “hankies” in one section of this opulent Indian eatery. No, they’re the enormous, thin Indian rotis that are served folded like handkerchiefs and from which the restaurant gets its name, not the kind you use to blow your nose. Hankies Marble Arch, located inside the opulent Montcalm Hotel, exudes refinement thanks to a chrome theme that extends from the silverware to the ceiling decorations. There was no longer a need to play Tetris with the small plates thanks to the large, comfortable seats that fit the large, open tables. Despite the upscale atmosphere, costs are still reasonable.

Everything on the menu of Hankies Marble Arch looked delicious. Start with the delicious bhindi bhel, which is a pile of okra, puffed rice, onion chunks, and pomegranate seeds that have been dipped in chutney. The cod was a modern take on the traditional fish and chips, and it was served in a batter that was strongly spiced. The friendly waitress recommended the finger-lickingly delicious butter chicken, which was served with a deep, creamy sauce.

However, other meals, such an otherwise flavorful sea bass, were overly spicy. Similar to this, a “kankda” advertised masala crab in an egg custard but delivered little more than a frittata with added heat. Even so, a tastefully prepared scoop of paan-flavored kulfi—a popular post-dinner stimulant made from areca nut and betel leaf—offered a nice, rose-flavored chill to a leisurely supper.
