The ‘mad zebu’ is the most out-of-place sighting in dusty Belo, if not all of Madagascar. The chef trained in prominent kitchens in Madagascar and Europe, so dishes like pan-fried zebu shin, prawn medallions, or snapper fillet with peanuts, rice, and coconut sauce seem like they came directly from a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Vegetarian choices are also available. Everyone traveling between Morondava and the Parc National Bemaraha stops here, and many businesses reserve tables in advance – do the same or expect to wait. The noon peak occurs at 11.30 a.m.
The Mad-Zébu Restaurant in Belo now opens its doors with a cuisine that is constantly sublimated and twisted by the remarkable ability of the founder’s son, chef Onja. For over ten years, chef Onja and his wife Sarika have been able to imprint Michelle’s kitchen with a delicate touch of inventiveness and modernism. La Varangue
La Varangue, one of the city’s premier venues for true gourmet cuisine, presents an extraordinary mash-up of French gastronomy with Malagasy flavors. Meals are served either in the elegant dining room, which has low lighting and a fantastic antique collection or on the terrace, which overlooks a delightful garden. Reservations are strongly suggested.
Menu highlights include fowl filled with mushrooms and shellfish en papillote with lemongrass aroma. On your walk in, take in the old saxophones and vehicles. Come to La Varangue for delicious food that is said to be one of the best restaurants in Madagascar!

Kudéta
Kudéta is one of the best restaurants in Madagascar. Playing on the region’s reputation for political instability may not be very PC, but it would take a coup d’état to dethrone this sleek bar restaurant from its perch atop Tana’s elite dining scene. The menu creatively uses local products to create a refined fusion meal that complements the elegant ethnic ambiance nicely. Reservations are strongly suggested.
The zebu is a constant motif – with foie gras, carpaccio, and ribs – but the menu is always consistent; for dessert, try the chocolate coulant with lime sorbet. There is a children’s menu as well as a few vegetarian options.

if you are looking for the best restaurants in Madagascar you must definitely stop by Coin du Foie Gras restaurant. On weekends, this hillside restaurant just south of Behemjy fills up with guests who come for one reason and one reason only: foie gras (stuffed goose liver). A modest foie gras starter starts at Ar6000, while main courses include duck in a variety of delectable flavors. You may also purchase foie gras packets to take home (Ar5500 for 250g).
Foie gras is regarded as a contentious culinary item in some Anglophone nations because of the production process, and some animal rights organizations oppose its manufacture.

La Rizière
Make a reservation at La Rizière for delicious meals at reasonable costs. The restaurant is a working culinary school, and all of the cooks and waiters are honing their skills. The service is lovely (at the conclusion of the dinner, the cooks come out and introduce themselves) and the dining space is spectacular: a glasshouse with panoramic views of Fianarantsoa.
It can be nearly desolate around noon, so reserve a table for the evening to experience a bit more atmosphere. The chefs at this restaurant do their best to provide diners with perfectly cooked salads. Some reviewers found that you can have a good parfait here. Courteous staff awaits guests throughout the year. Great service is always a pleasure. You will find a quiet atmosphere here.

Le Saka is one of the best restaurants in Madagascar. The restaurantis a Tana institution that strikes the right blend of gourmet French and plain local food. Cafe du Musée
This wonderful restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Madagascar, located opposite the entrance to the Musée de la Photo, provides gentle lighting, reliable cuisine, and polite service. The cuisine is mostly French, although there are a few Malagasy and vegetarian alternatives, such as stuffed crab, lobster curry, seared duck breast with chocolate sauce and caramelized apple, as well as a pig with crushed cassava leaves.
The Café du Musée is a young team of enthusiasts, chocolate specialty (and the only one in Madagascar), good atmosphere, laughter, theme nights, privatizations, and many more.
